Donations Like Yours Did This
"Across the farming communities of Ssembabule District, increasingly unpredictable rainfall has become a growing threat to agriculture. Crops fail before harvest, livestock travel farther in search of water, and farming households face mounting uncertainty as climate change disrupts traditional farming seasons."
"Denis Mukasa was just three years old when he lost both his parents—and later his younger siblings—to HIV/AIDS in Ssembabule District. Left without family support, he faced a future that, for many children in similar circumstances, often leads to not attending of school and a lifetime of struggle."
"For a long time, Nakalawa Jane Rose struggled to provide for her family. A single mother of six children and one of the pioneer members of the Nakasenyi Agali Awamu Farmers Field School, her life was marked by uncertainty and hardship. By the time COSMA began working with the cooperative, three of her children had already dropped out of school because she could no longer afford school fees and scholastic materials. Two of her younger children were still in lower primary school, while her youngest child had not yet started school."
