Empowering Youth for a Brighter Future
Uganda has one of the youngest populations globally, with 78% of people aged 12-35 and half under 15. However, many young people face unemployment due to limited access to quality education and skills training.
To address this, Cosma has developed a Life Skills Training Program that equips youth with skills to foster entrepreneurship, create jobs, and contribute to the economy. The program focuses on practical training, local talent development, and economic empowerment to help individuals achieve financial independence.
Cosma’s initiative empowers youth and women by offering value-added skills training, preparing them to become entrepreneurs who can support local economies. Our aim is to build a skilled workforce by equipping individuals with in-demand skills and fostering an entrepreneurial mindset.
Through hands-on training and business support, including financial management and marketing, we help participants turn their skills into sustainable businesses.
Cosma’s goal is to create a skilled workforce that drives economic growth in Uganda. By providing youth with valuable skills and supporting entrepreneurship, we enable them to become job creators, not just job seekers.

Cosma’s Tailoring Program: Empowering Youth Through Craft and Innovation
Cosma’s Tailoring Program equips youth with both the technical skills and creative artistry needed to succeed in the fashion and garment-making industry. Trainees learn the fundamentals of tailoring, from fabric selection and pattern design to stitching and finishing, with an emphasis on craftsmanship, attention to detail, and innovation.
The program aims to create a new generation of skilled tailors who can produce high-quality garments, promote self-sufficiency, and contribute to Uganda’s fashion industry. By offering practical skills and entrepreneurial guidance, Cosma provides youth with a pathway to financial independence and personal growth.
Cosma's Shoes Making Program: Empowering Youth Through Craftsmanship
This Program equips youth with the skills to design and create high-quality footwear. Our students learn techniques such as pattern making, stitching, and finishing, with a focus on creativity, quality, and sustainability.
Additionally, Cosma offers business support, including marketing, pricing, and financial management, helping youth turn their craft into profitable ventures. We connect artisans to local and international markets, enabling them to achieve financial independence.

We train youth to create high-quality, eco-friendly school books. Trainees learn the skills of bookbinding and cutting, with an emphasis on sustainability and attention to detail.

Cosma's Handmade Crafts Program: Empowering Artisans
At Cosma, our Handmade Crafts Program empowers youth and women by teaching them valuable craft skills, creating opportunities for economic independence. Participants learn to create high-quality, sustainable handmade products like jewelry, home décor, bags, and textiles, blending traditional techniques with modern creativity.
The program provides artisans with essential business support, including marketing, pricing, and financial management, helping them turn their crafts into profitable ventures. We connect artisans with local and international markets, expanding their reach and boosting their income.
